- Our Breastfeeding Story
- This blog charts my breastfeeding journey with my second child. First time round it was easy, second time has been fraught with problems. I hope my blog can help reassure if anyone is going through similar to what I went through. Please don't try to go it alone though- find yourself a breastfeeding expert. I was very lucky- the local NHS trust employs an expert- a lactation consultant. She is far more qualified than an ordinary breastfeeding counsellor (I am in no way demeaning counsellors)

Hi - have just read your blog, highlighted on mumsnet. What a story, and what motivation.
I can see some hints at *why* the issues arose, though - happy to share some insights with you, if you think it might help.
By the way, your HV is using an outdated term when she says 'failure to thrive'. The term is 'faltering growth' - far less judgemental-sounding.
